Performs patient histories and physical exams to diagnose nature and extent of heart disorder.
Handles daily patient rounds (including the CVICU), patient education and discharge summaries
Counsel’s cases referred to him from other services by offering clinical advice or assuming full responsibility of the care.
Performs invasive procedures, such as thoracenteses, chest tube insertions, placement of central venous, dialysis and, arterial lines and intra-aortic balloon pumps
Manages other disease entities frequently encountered in the cardiac population, namely hypertension, diabetes, COPD, asthma, hypothyroidism and others
Advises guardians, relatives, and significant others of patients' conditions and treatment.
MBBS or MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution. Completion of specialty qualification as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate.
Physicians with an accredited American Board of Medical Specialty (ABMS)Certification, Specialization of the RCPSC, Certification by the College of Family Physicians Canada (CSPC), Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) or Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from UK.
Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
