Performs various tests on patients, including blood work, colonoscopies, and endoscopies.
Prescribes medication, as the treatment plan for each patient is as unique as each condition.
Should be competent to perform Complex endoscopic procedures including upper GI endoscopy, ERCP, MRCP, Esophageal and rectal manometry studies and breath tests.
Should have competence to perform therapeutic endoscopy for foreign bodies, bleeding ulcers and variceal banding, bile duct stone removal, polypectomy and haemorrhoidal banding, stone removal, oesophageal stricture, bile duct and pancreatic stricture dilatation, stenting, etc
Medical Degree (MBBS/MD) in any recognized institution.
Physicians with an accredited American Board of Medical Specialty (ABMS)Certification, Specialization of the RCPSC, Certification by the College of Family Physicians Canada (CSPC), Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) or Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from UK.
Minimum 3 years post qualification experience is needed.
Physicians with Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) expertise are preferred.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
