Examines patients to find health problems caused by the pancreas, thyroid and adrenal glands. Identifies diabetes, infertility and metabolic disorders. Review previous physicians’ notes and test results.
Recommends various diagnostic procedures including, fine-needle biopsies, bone density and blood glucose tests.
Recommending dietary or hygiene changes to treat patients. Creates special diet and exercise plans to treat patients suffering from lipid disorders, or use hormone replacement therapies for women dealing with menopause.
Prescribing treatment modalities/medication, specific to the patient’s condition and prognosis.
Practicing medicine alongside the field of endocrinology / diabetology at a consultant level.
Completion of specialty qualification as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate.
Physicians with an accredited American Board of Medical Specialty (ABMS)Certification, Specialization of the RCPSC, Certification by the College of Family Physicians Canada (CSPC), Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) or Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from UK.
Minimum 3 years experience post qualification.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
