Lead, advise and endorse petroleum system evaluations in support to the exploration division. Promote new technology development, advise analytical programs for exploration and supervise external services.
Lead and advise the activities of 3D basin modeling aim to basin & play assessment and prospect risk analysis under time constraints in support of exploration. Master the controlling factors of 3D basin modelling such as source rock characterization and maturity, hydrocarbon generation, expulsion, migration and entrapment.
Participates/leads in knowledge-sharing activities (e.g. COP & IWG), introduces/adopts best practices, holds positions in professional bodies/external committees and contributes to higher learning institution. Network with external parties/professional bodies (e.g. SPE, EAGE, AAPG, academia) for technical knowledge enhancement, present and publish technical papers on scientific findings at domestic/international conferences.
Define and identify pacing technology requirements for geochemistry and petroleum system modelling to support exploration & development future needs and apply appropriate novel technology for sustaining company’s business growth and needs. Promote and implement the application of new technology as developed by academics and other providers for geochemistry and petroleum system modelling.
Bachelor Degree in Geophysics/Physics/Geoscience (Masters or PhD is preferred)
15 - 20 years of industrial experience in the oil and gas exploration with deep knowledge in Petroleum System Modelling.
Proficiency with at least one standard basin modelling software (PetroMod, Zetaware, Temis, etc.)
