Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be accountable for controlling engineers and draftsmen to produce detailed shop drawings.
• Supervise the project engineers to perform engineering evaluations, feasibility studies, conceptual and final designs, cost estimates, and engineering calculations.
• Liaises with clients and their technical representatives to get designs approved.
• Provides technical assistance to the site based engineers.
• Ensures efficient coordination with the vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
• Regularly audits the engineering options to validate the worthiness of new products and design solutions.
• Facilitates support to multi-discipline reviews of vendor engineering work to provide technical assurance, confirms adequacy of design and ensures compliance with contract requirements

Qualification Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 10 years working experience as designer in the building services industry.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and standards as well as industry practices.
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
