Provide an on time, safe, reliable, and cost effective technical service operation for the COMPANY’s DP3 vessels.
Advise on the technical operations of all vessels owned or operated by the COMPANY.
Liaise closely with the vessels’ masters and chief engineers to ensure the vessels hulls, machinery and equipment are operated efficiently and maintained in good condition.
Assist in planning dry-docking and other significant material or services contracts.
Identify, manage and monitor risks.
Lead by example in demonstrating the correct behaviour in implementing all HSE programs.
Make arrangements for the necessary training, including induction training, of all personnel under their control in the safe working procedures relevant to their activities. Ensure that all staff under their control are adequately qualified and experienced for the jobs they undertake.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Knowledge of international vessel mainatenance standards.
Familiar with ISO/ISM systems.
Qualified Engineer preferably with Chief engineers experience.
Experience in similar position.
Experience on DP3 vessels, preferably with similar DP systems.
The ability to effectively manage the Technical staff on board and maintain high staff retention.
Demonstrate excellent management of technical issues especially vessel availability for DP operations.
Understanding, implementation and compliance with all applicable international Rules, Regulations, Legislation, Codes, Guidelines, Standards and Specifications.
