Communicates regularly with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and to build a clear understanding of business requirements for third party goods and services.
Supports category teams in the BUs, BU SCM managers, contributing to the development of category strategies, plans and priorities, and identifying opportunities to leverage value or mitigate risk from changes in markets (e.g. technology developments, supplier consolidation).
Leads the full sourcing process which includes development of scope, supplier selection, commercial negotiation, risk mitigation and contract execution, ensuring the appropriate business involvement at all stages of the process.
Ensures application of an end-to-end (TCO) view in all sourcing decisions.
Shapes contractual terms and conditions, involving legal when required, employing best practice in contracting methods to manage risk and maximise value.
Supports the implementation of new contracts and change of supplier, ensuring efficient management of change and in particular effective handover and ensuring understanding of contract terms by End Users.
University degree (3-4 year Bachelor degree) or equivalent.
MCIPS or equivalent professional P&SCM qualification.
Minimum of 10 years experience in SCM in Upstream Oil and Gas Operations with reputable Operator
Proven track record of creating value through strategic Sourcing.
Knowledgeable about Oil and Gas Category Management process
Good contracting skills – oil and gas high risk/high spend contracts terms and conditions.
